Week 8 Game Scripts to Target in Daily Fantasy Football
The Packers could face an uphill battle against the Rams, so should you be targeting Aaron Rodgers and the passing game?

Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers

Over/Under: 56.5

Rams Implied Team Total: 32.50
Packers Implied Team Total: 24.00

Well, well, well. For the first time of his career, Aaron Rodgers enters a game as an eight-point underdog. While you'd be bankrupt betting against him throughout his career, the Los Angeles Rams have earned this line as the best team in football, per our rankings. Still, with Rodgers possibly motivated by the slight, there should be points to go around in this one.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
FanDuel Price: $8,600

We had to start here, right? I'm not usually a fan of paying up at quarterback, but Rodgers is typically priced above $9,000 and should have his entire cadre of weapons available to him for the first time in weeks. Finally starting to put it together, Rodgers has scored 28 FanDuel points in consecutive games, both of which came in negative game script. He threw at least 46 pass attempts in both games. While the Rams offense is the tide that raises all offensive ships, Green Bay is the best offense they've played since Week 3. Likely playing from behind and coming off a week to rest his balky knee, Rodgers has such a high ceiling that he's worth trying to fit into lineups this week.

Geronimo Allison, WR, Green Bay Packers
FanDuel Price: $5,700

This one is pretty simple. This is the highest-totaled game on the slate, and Geronimo Allison is the cheapest stack with Rodgers. He quietly saw 11 targets with Randall Cobb out in Week 4, and while Cobb is practicing on a limited basis, that game also saw Rodger's second-fewest pass attempts of the season. The number of pass attempts should inch closer to 50 in this potential barn-burner, putting all of Green Bay's pass-catching weapons in play. Allison is cheap and second on the team in air yards, making him a worthy GPP option.

Others to Consider

In cash, you always have to give it your best effort to fit Todd Gurley ($11,000) in your lineup. It sounds absurd, but he just recorded his third three-touchdown game of the season. Green Bay is a middling matchup on paper, but its run defense ranks 24th per numberFire's models. He's a great way to run it back with Rodgers/Allison.

Jared Goff ($8,500) is a weekly high-floor play but is tough to justify at his price. That said, his ownership will probably be lower than it should be attached to the highest implied team total of the slate. I'm not pretending to know who will have the better game between Robert Woods ($7,600) and Brandin Cooks ($7,500). Both get a slight target bump with Cooper Kupp (knee) likely out again, while Cooks has the better matchup on the outside. Josh Reynolds ($5,100) led the Rams' receivers in snaps last week but saw just one target. He's a money-saving punt-only option in GPPs.

Randall Cobb ($6,100) has a low ceiling and a tough matchup in the slot. That leaves Davante Adams ($8,600) and Jimmy Graham ($6,400) firmly in play. Both players are the third-most expensive options at their respective positions. Graham makes sense in cash, as the Rams have allowed the 11th-most points per game to tight ends. But Adams is an ideal GPP option as he's sure to go overlooked in a perceived bad matchup but one that's been exploitable with Aqib Talib (ankle) out. Adams is averaging an elite 11.8 targets per game and has scored in every game but one this season.
