After opening the season at $6,900, Cam Newton's price has been steadily on the decline and has now hit a season low, despite having three out of five games with 24 DraftKings points or more. For those looking for a high floor from their quarterback at a discounted price, though, look no further than Newton.

Rostering a running quarterback will always raise his fantasy floor because of the scoring differential between rushing and passing. Newton has no fewer than five rush attempts in a game this season and has hit double-digit attempts in two out of his five games played. The 30 to 50 rushing yards he can pick up in a game is essentially a passing touchdown.

76% of the plays run in the opponent's redzone this year, have been either a pass or run from Cam, making the offense funnel through him. All three of his rushing touchdowns have come within the five yard line, effectively making him one of the Carolina Panthers' featured goal line backs in goal-to-go situations.

We've covered Newton's running ability, but the Philadelphia Eagles have been susceptible through the air this year as well. They have allowed opposing passers to throw for over 300 yards in half of their games this year and have allowed them to complete 66.7% of their passes. Newton's not necessarily known for his passing prowess, but he finally has a full compliment of weapons surrounding him with Greg Olsen back in the lineup and an exploitable pass defense matchup.
