Fantasy Football: 5 Things We Learned From Week 6
In Week 6, Greg Olsen returned from his foot injury and played nearly every snap. What else should you take away from this past week?

Dak Prescott May Have Turned a Corner

It's too early to say for certain, but we may be welcoming Dak Prescott back into the ranks of the fantasy-relevant passers. The third-year signal caller has been well off the fantasy map (in one-quarterback leagues) since late 2017 and had been posting downright miserable numbers for fantasy purposes so far this year, but his fall from grace was an odd one to behold.

We can so vividly recall Dak's struggles at the end of the 2017 in part because of how starkly they contrasted with his success earlier that year. Through the first eight weeks in 2017, Dak was the overall QB1 in fantasy football. In the second half, his numbers fell off a cliff. They remained at the bottom of that cliff at the start of this season, but on Sunday, something changed.

Prescott led the Dallas Cowboys to an upset victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, hanging up 40 points on the Jags' elite defense. Dak had just an average day as a passer, completing 17 of his 27 attempts for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns -- although given the matchup, those numbers are pretty nice -- but he really shined on the ground, rushing 11 times for 82 yards and another touchdown.

It was a career high in rushing attempts and in rushing yards, and it came following Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' comments that Dak should run it more. Given how effective that strategy was this weekend -- 54.5% of Prescott's rushes added expected points to his team's total, per our numbers -- we can assume that the Cowboys will continue to utilize the young quarterback's rushing ability going forward. And that gives a boost to both his floor and his ceiling in fantasy football.
