3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 6
Despite his strong start to the season, a tough positional matchup and the potential for an unfriendly game-script make Stefon Diggs someone to fade.

Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

FanDuel Price: $6,900
DraftKings Price: $5,600

A lot of daily fantasy players are going to be tempted to go back to the Blake Bortles well this week at just $6,900 on FanDuel. After posting a garbage time-fueled 24.6 FanDuel points last week against the Kansas City Chiefs (despite throwing four picks), Bortles faces a much stiffer test this week in Dallas.

Bortles figures to be lucky to see even half of the 61 passing attempts he had last week, as he gets a major pace-down game against the ball-control Cowboys. With this precipitous drop in volume, the Jaguars' signal caller will be hard-pressed to post a decent fantasy outing. Add to the equation that the Cowboys have been fine against quarterbacks from a fantasy standpoint (allowing the 16th-most fantasy points per game), and Bortles becomes a clear fade this week.

If game script flows the way Vegas thinks (The Jags are 3-point favorites), they should be feeding T.J. Yeldon the rock late in the second half rather than letting Bortles chuck it 60-plus times. Don't count on garbage time this week, which is where Bortles seems to do most of his damage.
