2018 NFL Power Rankings: Week 5

Week 4 caused some big movement in our power rankings. Who moved up the most and who saw the biggest drop?

Week 4 certainly did a number on our nERD power ratings.

The first three weeks of the NFL season saw relatively few drastic changes from week to week. Over this span, 2 teams moved more than 10 spots up or down from one week to the next and only 5 shifted more than 7 spots.

There are 8 such moves in Week 4 alone, including 3 by more than 10 spots.

These big changes did not occur at the top, however, as for the second straight week, the Rams and Ravens rank one and two, respectively, in nERD (which measures how many points above or below average a team is).

Buffalo remains at the bottom, but the Bills are now joined in the bottom three by Miami and Tampa Bay, who both saw massive drops. The Cardinals used to occupy real estate in that area, but thanks to the largest nERD gain of the week, they moved up 10 spots to number 21.

Let's see how the rest of the league breaks down.
