It's tough to recommend someone who has averaged just 22.5 yards per game, but that's the state of the tight end position on 2018. While Austin Seferian-Jenkins isn't racking up the yards this season, his matchup in Week 5 will provide plenty of opportunities for fantasy points, the best we can hope for from our tight end streamers.

Due to the injury to Leonard Fournette, the Jacksonville Jaguars have opened the playbook and dialed up the pass more times than expected in 2018. After attempting just 32.7 passes per game in 2017, Blake Bortles is firing the rock 37.5 times per game this season, a 15% increase over last year. All those extra passes have allowed Bortles to spread the ball around, even to his tight end. Despite the yards not being there, the volume has been. ASJ is averaging nearly five targets per game. If he maintains that volume against the soft Kansas City Chiefs defense this Sunday, the could finish as a TE1 (top-12) this week.

The Chiefs have given up the second-most passing yards in the NFL, and tight ends have had no issues against them. Opposing tight ends are averaging a solid line of 5.7 catches and 90.3 yards per game. It's not just All-Pros beating them up either, as the unremarkable Jeff Heuerman hauled in 4 catches for 57 yards against the Chiefs on Monday night. Overall, the Chiefs have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this year.
