Baker Mayfield Has Landed

The first pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has officially landed. Baker Mayfield came into Thursday Night Football with slightly more than a half of football left to play and showed the world why he was the first pick in the draft.

After Tyrod Taylor struggled to put any points on the board against the Jets, he exited the game with a concussion. Mayfield was thrown onto the field down 14-0, and he led his team to a historic 21-17 comeback victory.

And, boy, did he look good doing it. Mayfield completed 17 of 23 pass attempts (3 of the incompletions were drops), threw for 201 yards and an adjusted 8.7 yards per attempt. He even caught a Philly-special-esque two-point conversion to boot.

So what does this mean for fantasy?

Mayfield himself is now on the map as a quarterback streamer depending on the matchup, but this tide rises all of the Browns' ships. Carlos Hyde nearly broke 100 rushing yards while smashing in for 2 touchdowns, Jarvis Landry went for 103 receiving yards on 15 targets -- he caught 7 of 9 looks for 87 yards with Mayfield -- and even rookie Antonio Callaway looked primed for a nice rookie year. This could even be the boost David Njoku needs to become an every-week starter at the tight end position.

This is Mayfield's team now, and that should mean great things for the Browns and for their skill players in fantasy football.
