Despite chatter that the Arizona Cardinals plan to scheme more touches in space for David Johnson this week, the deck remains stacked against him in terms of his fantasy projection against the stout Bears' defense.

Johnson's slow start has been well-chronicled, as he has averaged just 59 yards from scrimmage and managed only one garbage-time touchdown across his first two games. Whether he gets more touches this week or not, he is going to struggle to find running room against a Chicago front-seven that has allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (71.5) in the first two weeks.

With the Cardinals' offense not being able to move the football thus far, it's no surprise they are projected for the slate's third-lowest implied total (16.25 points) as a home underdog. Johnson's yardage totals may improve with a more concerted effort to feed him the rock, but the matchup dictates we wait at least another week before trusting him for DFS purposes. As the fourth-highest priced running back on FanDuel, especially, he's an easy avoid in Week 3.
