Denzel Ward Nabs 2 Picks in His Debut

Baker Mayfield, the first overall draft pick from the 2018 NFL Draft, didn't get to do anything in Week 1. But while Mayfield was unable to get in on the action, the second of the Cleveland Browns' first-round picks had a debut to remember.

Denzel Ward logged his first two career interceptions in the Browns' tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers, becoming the first defensive back with two interceptions in Week 1 of his rookie season of the 21st century.

Ward and his defensive teammates made life miserable for Ben Roethlisberger throughout the game, which was played in driving rain. Big Ben tossed a third interception and also lost two fumbles during a contest that saw him sacked four times. He did finish with 335 passing yards, but he was able to complete a mere 56.1% of his attempts.
