10 Players You Should Be Targeting in Fantasy Football Drafts

You don't need strategy during a fantasy football draft. Just pick the right guys!

If only it were that simple.

The reason I've spent too many hours this offseason analyzing the strategic side of fantasy football -- I've rambled on about superflex league strategy, tight end strategy, keeper strategy, strategy to spot breakout wide receivers and running backs -- is because it matters. The average fantasy player these days has access to loads and loads of sleeper articles and player rankings. Even if they don't know who Kalen Ballage is, it doesn't matter. They know that Ballage is a popular later-round selection.

The edge that a detailed fantasy football researcher and analyst has in player evaluation is shrinking. You can try to pick the right guys, but that's become increasingly more difficult each season.

So when you read about these 10 players -- 10 guys I'm targeting in drafts, whether they're early- or late-round picks -- remember that. It's totally important to understand as many aspects about a player as you possibly can, but player evaluation isn't everything.

It's just part of the equation.
