Daurice Fountain, WR, Northern Iowa

Scouts at the East-West Shrine Game were raving about Fountain all week at practice. He had a key drop in the game, but still earned MVP honors with 3 receptions for a game-high 61 yards to go along with a pair of punt returns that went for a total of 40 yards.

In a draft that is lacking prototypical outside receivers at the top of the class, Fountain should draw some attention at 6' 2" and 210 pounds. Chase Goodbread of NFL.com reported that in pre-testing workouts, he's recorded a 40-inch vertical and a 133-inch broad jump. Looking for similar physical comparisons already in the league? PlayerProfiler offers up Sammie Coates and Josh Doctson.

Unfortunately, Fountain's track record of success at Northern Iowa is somewhat limited. And even his breakout senior campaign of 66 receptions, 943 yards, and 12 touchdowns is a modest stat line for someone competing at the FCS level.

However, he was UNI's leading receiver in each of his final three years. Despite limited counting numbers, he was still a big contributor within the context of his team's passing attack. That's evidenced by a College Dominator Rating that places Fountain in the 73rd percentile.

Fountain gets to make the case for being drafted at his upcoming pro day on March 25th.
