Fantasy Football: 3 Players You Can Drop After Week 14

Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers

Yahoo Ownership: 32%

Aaron Jones was a low-key sleeper headed into the 2017 season. Dynasty fantasy football enthusiasts were heavily intrigued by Jones' above-average athleticism but even more attracted to his eye-popping college production, which Player Profiler pegged as being in the 97th percentile of college prospects entering the NFL, per their College Dominator rating.

Drafted in the fifth-round, only one round behind fellow teammate Jamaal Williams, it didn't take much of a leap to assume that Jones could outplay Williams and win the starting job outright should Ty Montgomery get hurt or not live up to expectations.

Well, when each of Montgomery and Williams went down to respective injuries in Week 4, Jones took his opportunity and ran with it, putting up 297 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground over the next three games. And it certainly looked like the backfield was Jones' to lose at that point.

But what the fantasy gods giveth, they taketh away, as Jones registering only seven snaps in Week 14, per Nathan Jahnke.

If you own Williams, it wouldn't be the worst thing to hang onto Jones in case something happens. But if you need a reliable starter at running back for your playoff run, drop Jones and opt for Mike Davis instead.
