The Los Angeles Rams are averaging the most points in the league (32.9), and no doubt Jared Goff's improved play has been a big part of that. Goff is coming off big performances against the New York Giants and Houston Texans, throwing over 300 yards and 3-plus touchdowns in both games.

However, facing the Minnesota Vikings on the road is a decidedly different animal. The Vikings haven't allowed multiple touchdowns to a quarterback since Week 3, and at home they haven't allowed a team to reach 20 points all season.

Goff has proven to be incredibly matchup-dependent this year, throwing for multiple scores and/or 300 yards in soft spots against the Colts, 49ers, Cowboys, Giants, and Texans, who all rank in the bottom-half against the pass by numberFire's schedule-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metrics. In his other four games, he's averaged just 216.5 passing yards with 3 touchdowns and all 4 of his interceptions.

Given his recent hot play, that isn't to say Goff can't have a solid day at the office. However, with guys like Tom Brady and Alex Smith in potential blow up spots, and some value quarterbacks on the lower end, it's tough to see Goff having the type of performance that soars you to the top of the leaderboards.
