The laundry list of things that have gone wrong to prevent Donte Moncrief's annual impending breakout is lengthy. In 2015, his second season in the league, his breakout seemed to be coming as he tallied a very respectable 17 catches for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns through the first three games of the season.
But quarterback Andrew Luck went on to miss nine games that season, severely depressing Moncrief's fantasy output. In fact, Moncrief averaged 5.4 more PPR points per game in games when Luck played, per Rotoviz's Game Splits app. Yikes.
In 2016, Moncrief was ailing from injuries, including a fractured scapula and a Jacoby Brissett at the helm.
Drop Moncrief for a higher upside option like Paul Richardson.
