Amari Cooper Is Back in Action

Of all the exciting football this weekend, it would be hard to argue that any game was more exciting than Thursday's matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders. The high-scoring, back-and-forth affair ended with a last-second, game-winning touchdown throw to Michael Crabtree, but he wasn't the one grabbing most of the headlines in the fantasy football world.

The player with those honors was Amari Cooper. He began the year with a strong Week 1 performance, but barely appeared in the subsequent weeks. But that all changed on Thursday, as the wideout went collected 11 receptions, 210 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns off the strength of 19 targets.

The performance was unexpected for many, but not for Cooper himself -- it was just a matter of time before the ball found him.

So what can we expect from the third-year pass catcher going forward? He can't post over 200 receiving yards every week, though hopefully his amazing showing signals to quarterback Derek Carr that good things happen when he looks Cooper's way often.
