3 Bold NFL Predictions for Week 7

Derrick Henry Will Be a Top-5 Running Back

Why This Is Bold: DeMarco Murray may end up playing in Sunday's game. As of now, he has yet to be ruled out, and the Cleveland Browns' run defense is much better than is commonly perceived, ranking 8th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. (NEP, for the uninitiated, is numberFire's in-house efficiency metric. For more about NEP, visit our glossary.)

Why This Will Happen: Derrick Henry has teased fantasy players before, but he demonstrated his immense upside in prime time last week. Splitting work almost evenly with Murray, he broke free on the Tennessee Titans' final offensive play for a 72-yard touchdown, finishing the contest with 19 carries for 131 yards and that score.

Tennessee plays Cleveland this week before taking their Week 8 bye, and it would make sense for the Titans to hold Murray out rather than risking re-injury. He looked hurt in last week's game, and if he does play, he's no sure bet to be effective. Volume is in Henry's favor and is the among the surest predictors of fantasy production.
