10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 7

Darren McFadden, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Yahoo Ownership: 50%

Ezekiel Elliott's suspension for domestic violence allegations has been reinstated. This means that for now, Zeke is slated to miss the following six games. For fantasy football purposes, there are two potential main beneficiaries here -- and the better option may not be the most intuitive one.

Alfred Morris, currently owned in 54% of Yahoo leagues, has been operating as Elliott's backup and handcuff for most of the season. However, it's Darren McFadden -- who has been a healthy scratch in every game this season -- that is likely to handle the lion's share of the workload.

McFadden -- an aging, upright runner who has struggled with durability throughout his career -- has been a healthy scratch because of his previous struggles to stay healthy. The Dallas Cowboys had to expect that Elliott's suspension would eventually have to be served this season, so by saving McFadden from injury, he's now fresh and ready to handle the load for Dallas.

Zeke has seen monster workloads to begin this season. While it's unlikely that McFadden will be relied on as heavily, he offers the skill set that most closely resembles Elliott's. Morris will certainly mix in some -- and is worth a speculative add of his own, if he's available in your league -- but McFadden has the biggest upside.
