Week 6 NFL FanDuel Salary Movers
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Week 5 Salary: $7,600
Week 6 Salary: $8,500
In anticipation for this projected shootout between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions, FanDuel went ahead and priced Matthew Stafford up by nearly $1,000 despite the fact that he is dealing with a bum leg and hasn't topped 17 FanDuel points since Week 1. He could definitely still smash against New Orleans, but with Drew Brees priced just $100 above him, Stafford seems like a suboptimal play.
Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans
Week 5 Salary: $7,500
Week 6 Salary: $7,900
Deshaun Watson predictably saw another price bump after throwing for five touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs, which now puts him at 10 over his past two games. He leads the league in FanDuel points despite not starting in Week 1. Oh, and he gets the Cleveland Browns this week.
So, is he worth paying an extra $400 for in Week 6? While you probably shouldn't expect another five-touchdown performance, Watson is still quite affordable as the sixth-most expensive quarterback. He will be chalky, but Watson is a fine play in any format, even at his elevated salary.
