5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 5

In Week 5, we saw some big players make their first appearance of the season, as Doug Martin kicked things off by rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in his return from suspension on Thursday night. And Mitchell Trubisky capped off the week by throwing for 128 yards and a touchdown in the first start of his career on Monday night.

Unfortunately, we also saw the last of a few players for the year, as Odell Beckham suffered a season-ending ankle injury after catching 25 passes for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns in four games. The New York Giants were left very thin at wide receivers, as Beckham's teammate Brandon Marshall will need season-ending surgery as well, after posting just 18 receptions for 154 yards in his five appearances.

It will be tough to replace those two, and we will have to keep an eye on Martin and Trubisky, as their seasons are just beginning.

Before we move to Week 6, here are five stats to know -- some of which are traditional, some of which are our advanced statistics -- through the first five weeks of gridiron action.
