Quarterback

Chalk:

Daily fantasy players will likely try to find the money to pay all the way up for Tom Brady at $9,500. Russell Wilson could also be a popular pick in a matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, while mid-range options such as Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott both should carry their fair share of ownership. If looking for value, some will likely look to Trevor Siemian or Deshaun Watson.

Pivots:

Philip Rivers, $7,400 (vs. Philadelphia Eagles): Nobody is going to want to play Philip Rivers after last week. He threw 3 picks in the first half and looked washed up. That said, we've seen other aging quarterbacks bounce back in big ways over the past couple weeks at low ownership -- we're talking to you, Carson Palmer and Eli Manning -- so let's not write off Rivers just yet.

The Philadelphia Eagles secondary is the clear weakness of their defense. If your offensive line can hold up -- or if you simply go with a quick-hitting offense like the New York Giants did last week -- it is not hard to pick apart this secondary. Manning did just that, putting up 366 yards and 3 scores last week. Philly's pass rush could certainly make this another long and ugly day for Rivers, so this play is not without risk. But the upside is also there, making him worth a shot in tournaments.

Tyrod Taylor, $7,100 (at Atlanta Falcons): Tyrod Taylor has another solid fantasy campaign going, despite having already faced two of the toughest matchups available to a quarterback. Things should be easier this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

It will be interesting how this one plays out from a volume perspective for Taylor, as the Buffalo Bills have kept him under 30 pass attempts in every game. The Falcons lead the league with 45 pass attempts against per game, and game script would suggest that Taylor will be required to drop back with some frequency in this one, as the Bills are 8-point underdogs.

That may also mean tons of runs for Taylor, who leads all quarterbacks with 8 rushing attempts per game. Either way, Taylor should have to shoulder the load a bit more in this one, which just further expands his already wide range of fantasy outcomes. He is an exciting punt play at quarterback and should be lower owned than Siemian or Watson.
