Quarterback

Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars

Week 3 Salary: $7,200

Week 4 Salary: $7,700

Guys, it's Blake Bortles. Like, let's chill FanDuel. He's the sixth-most expensive quarterback this week! He's priced below Derek Anderson and Jimmy Garoppolo on DraftKings.

Yes, he randomly went ham in last week's London game. Yes, the New York Jets are terrible. But, they did hold Jay Cutler and the Miami Dolphins to six points last week. Is an Allen Robinson-less Jacksonville Jaguars passing attack really going to fare much better?

Probably not. It's more likely that Bortles is terrible like he has been for his career, than that he and Marcedes Lewis team up for another three scores.

The Jags have purposely limited their passing attempts in an attempt to hide Bortles this season, as they are just one of three teams to have run more frequently than they've passed this season. Please, do not pay $7,700 for Bortles with Dak Prescott priced below him.

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Week 3 Salary: $8,100

Week 4 Salary: $7,300

Cam Newton is clearly not right. The shoulder injury is concerning. However, no quarterback saw a price drop near as steep as Newton's $800 slide. While he's still the 10th-most expensive passer on DraftKings, he's now just the 17th priciest on FanDuel. This price drop might be just enough to justify taking yet another plunge on Newton in a great spot in tournaments.

It doesn't get much better than Newton's matchup against the New Orleans Saints last week. Well, technically it does, but the quarterback would have to be playing the New England Patriots, the only team to allow more FanDuel points to the position than New Orleans.

By week, the Pats have allowed their opponents to finish as QB1, QB4, QB15. Every quarterback has topped 300 passing yards and thrown multiple touchdowns. Newton could definitely end that streak, but at his discounted price tag, this matchup makes him worth taking a shot on in large-field tournaments.
