Fantasy Football: 4 Players You Can Drop After Week 1
Danny Woodhead was set to be a key cog for the Baltimore Ravens, but a hamstring injury could put him on the shelf for a while. Which other players can you feel safe dumping onto the waiver wire?

Josh Doctson, WR, Washington

Josh Doctson, Washington's former 2016 first-round draft pick, doesn't lack for talent. Per Pro Football Focus, he compiled the highest receiving grade of any college prospect in his draft class. His athletic measurables were also very enticing.

So there's theoretical upside to Doctson's game.

But a couple of problems exist for Doctson's immediate (and even medium-term) outlook. First, he's dealt with injuries since entering the league. He missed almost all of the 2016 season due to an Achilles, and he dealt with a hamstring ailment for a good portion of training camp this offseason. His recent injury history has even provoked not-so-subtle discontent from Washington coach Jay Gruden.

At this point, Doctson may be running fourth on the wide receiver depth chart -- even behind Ryan Grant -- and Doctson wasn't targeted in Week 1. We'd like to believe that natural talent will win the day at some point, but even if Doctson starts making plays, he'll be competing with Terrelle Pryor, Jamison Crowder, and Jordan Reed for targets (and that's to say nothing of pass-catching back Chris Thompson).

With zero targets in Week 1, it's clear Doctson's path to fantasy relevance is a long way away, if it even exists at all for 2017. Thus, if you need to make an add, you can free up a bench spot by cutting Doctson.
