6 NFL FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 1
Despite a tough matchup against Seattle, Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers could put up some quality numbers. Which other high-end options are worth their lofty salaries?

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers

FanDuel Price: $8,300
Projected Points: 23.5

Aaron Rodgers led the league in average FanDuel points per game last season at 24.2, and he starts this season as our highest-projected player for Week 1.

He does have a tough matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle gave up the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks last season while racking up the third-most sacks of any team in the league. Additionally, that stout 2016 Seahawks defense allowed multiple touchdown passes in a game a mere four times.

But one of those four quarterbacks to rack up a multi-score game on Seattle was none other than Rodgers himself, who threw for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns in their Week 14 matchup, one of his 11 games last season in which he racked up more than 20 FanDuel points.

The Green Bay Packers have the third-highest implied total (27.0 points) of any team on the main slate this week, which bodes well for Rodgers, whose 38.1 passing attempts per game ranked fourth in the league last season. So don't let a tough defense scare you away from last season's top overall fantasy football scorer.
