In Darrin Smith's sixth NFL season and first with the Seattle Seahawks, he played in 13 games and started 12 at his left side linebacker spot. His time on the field was very fruitful as Smith yielded three interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Even more impressive was that Smith turned two of his three picks into six points, adding big-time value to his otherwise decent turnover production. On the year, the Seahawks led the NFL with 24 interceptions.
