With their season effectively over, the Buffalo Bills are benching Tyrod Taylor this week, opening the door for E.J. Manuel to get the start against the New York Jets.
Manuel is not a good real-world quarterback -- with only three quarterbacks since 2013 having posting a worse Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) mark than his -47.8 that season -- but there's so much going for him this week that him not being very good at football becomes something of a secondary concern.
He's priced at the minimum salary for quarterbacks, meaning he doesn't need to have a huge game to be a good value, and the Jets are one of the best matchups you could ask for.
The Jets rank 30th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play and have allowed top-10 fantasy production to quarterbacks this season. Even the likes of Josh McCown and Matt Moore have topped 20 fantasy points against New York this year, and Manuel has a good shot at returning solid value here.
