If Vegas is a large part of your NFL DFS research, then Jameis Winston will likely be near the top of your quarterback list for Week 14.

The Buccaneers have the highest team total of the week (27, and that number has increased 1.5 points since Sunday) and they're playing in the game with the highest combined total (51.5). The spread has moved in their favor, too -- it opened as a pick ‘em, but as of Friday morning, Tampa Bay is a 2.5-point favorite.

There are a couple reasons to be cautious about Winston’s outlook, though. He’s facing the New Orleans Saints, and while they have the perception of being a terrible defense, they actually haven’t been that bad. They’re exactly league average in FanDuel points allowed to quarterbacks (18.6 per game), and have allowed just one game of more than 24 FanDuel points.

With his $600 price increase, 24.6 points is the tournament value threshold for Winston, a number difficult to attain without a pass-heavy game plan. The Bucs have realized their key to success is not having Winston throw the ball 40 times every week -- after attempting 52 and 58 passes in Weeks 2 and 3, he hasn’t thrown more than 40 in a game since.

In fact, he’s averaged just 29 attempts per game over the last two weeks, averaging just under 17 FanDuel points.

Winston will be a good cash game option because of the high team total, but things would have to go drastically wrong for Tampa Bay in order for him to hit his ceiling. He’ll be popular, so he’s an easy fade in tournaments.
