Week 12 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming: Firing Up the Saints

Yes, the Saints. You read that right. New Orleans hosts Jared Goff in Week 12, making them a solid streaming option.

Last week, we highlighted the top scoring defense of the week in this column. The Pittsburgh Steelers obliterated the Cleveland Browns, tallying eight sacks, two turnovers, and one defensive touchdown.

Meanwhile, our other two options, the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins, both finished tied for the week's seventh-best defensive performance.

Now 11 weeks in, if you streamed our primary option every week, you'd be averaging 10.1 points per game at the defensive position, good enough for the third-best score in standard scoring leagues.

As we continue to move closer to the fantasy playoffs, we have a number of quality streaming options this week, headlined by what may seem like an unlikely choice.

If you haven't been following all year, we're combing through the waiver wire to identify low-owned teams with a great matchup that can give you an edge. For this exercise, we're focusing on teams that are owned in less than 50% of leagues on both ESPN and Yahoo. Our goal is to identify teams poised to finish as a top-12 scorer on that given week.
