Melvin Gordon, RB, San Diego Chargers

FanDuel Price: $7,600
Salary Change: Up $1,000

Coming into Week 1 this season, Melvin Gordon was priced at just $5,700 after a miserable rookie campaign during which he didn’t score a single touchdown. He wasn’t expected to play more than 50 percent of the snaps as fellow running back Danny Woodhead would handle most of the work in the passing game and hurry-up offense.

But man, things have changed quickly. Through three weeks, Gordon has scored the sixth-most FanDuel points at running back and has been extremely consistent -- he’s tallied 15.8, 17.7, and 19.5 FanDuel points in each of his three games.

Woodhead tore his ACL in Week 2, and now as the full-time back, Gordon played all but eight snaps last weekend and even caught four passes. He sees heavy usage, has a consistent involvement in the red zone, and is now a player in the passing game.

This week, he has the luxury of facing off against a New Orleans Saints defense that has allowed 413 rushing yards, 20 receptions, 193 receiving yards, and 7 total touchdowns to running backs through three games.

With such a juicy matchup and a high workload floor, Gordon’s $1,000 salary increase is certainly justified and worth of cash game consideration.
