3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 3
Demaryius Thomas has a tough road matchup with the Bengals. What other players should we avoid this week?

Ben Roethlisberger ($8,400 on FanDuel)

Ben Roethlisberger has played well this season. He's scored at least 21 FanDuel points in each of his first two games. You know he'll get volume in the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense as he's averaged 37 attempts per game.

Big Ben has accumulated 24.98 Passing NEP (fifth-most) in the 2016 season. His 0.328 Passing NEP per drop back is the sixth-best clip among quarterbacks who have attempted more than one pass this season.

This all sounds really good! So why is he a player to avoid?

Roethlisberger is the fifth most expensive quarterback on FanDuel this week, and he is facing the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. The Eagles are one of two teams (Seattle is the other) that has yet to allow a passing touchdown in 2016. Opposing quarterbacks have averaged a league-low 8.4 FanDuel points against the Eagles, although they haven't faced a signal caller of Roethlisberger's caliber.

In Big Ben's last 6 games where he was playing on the road and priced at $8,000 or higher on FanDuel, he has gone over 20 points just twice. Roethlisberger has scored less than 11 points on three of those occasions, and he did not score seven points in two of those games.

In the game with the third-highest over/under (47) of the week, Roethlisberger may look enticing, but his recent history suggests you should stay away.
