Quarterback: Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons
26 for 34, 396 Yards, 3 Touchdowns, 1 INT
Performance: 96, NEP: +22.39

Ryan has been on an absolute tear to start the season and outperformed expectations on the road this week against the Oakland Raiders. Ryan completed 26 of 34 drop backs for 396 yards. He found the end zone three times and threw one pick. He led all quarterbacks with a 96 performance rating, per numberFire Live.

After allowing 423 passing yards to the Saints in Week 1, the Raiders' secondary once again was unable to make plays. Ryan connected with nine different receivers, with little difficulty distributing the ball. He was able to connect with Julio Jones on an easy quick slant, with Julio taking it 21 yards to the house for the score. Ryan was also able to utilize his tight ends against Oakland with great success. Jacob Tamme and Austin Hooper combined for 8 catches, 154 yards, and a touchdown.

Ryan has now finished as the QB2 in Week 1 and the QB6 in Week 2 (standard scoring). Taking on the Saints this week on Monday Night Football, another top-six performance could be in store for Ryan.
