3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 2

Ryan Tannehill has a tough matchup at New England. What other players should we avoid in Week 2?

Week 1 is in the books, and we've had a brief glimpse at what teams may look like this season. At this point of the year, it's still worth considering data from 2015 when analyzing what players may or may not do since we have such little data from this season.

So, in addition to pulling some information from Week 1, we'll be using 2015 data and our Net Expected Points (NEP) metric to help identify three players who are in a bad spot for Week 2.

Last week, the three players who landed on this list were Marcus Mariota, Jeremy Hill and Jarvis Landry.

Out of the three, Mariota played the best, throwing for 271 yards and 2 touchdowns on his way to 17.7 FanDuel points. Hill rushed the ball 9 times for 31 yards and a touchdown, while Landry made 7 receptions for 59 yards. Neither Hill nor Landry scored more than 10 FanDuel points.

In DFS, the best players aren't always the best plays for a particular week. Salaries, matchups and projected ownership all need to be considered when building lineups. With that being said, here are three players you should keep on the bench during Week 2 of the NFL season.
