5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 1
Here are some important -- and interesting -- takeaways from the first week of NFL action, including some gaudy numbers from A.J. Green.

We waited a long time for the start of the 2016 season, and when Week 1 finally rolled around, we certainly weren’t left without action.

There were six games decided by less than three points, and one other contest that went to overtime. We got our first look at how the rookies would fare, including No. 2 overall pick Carson Wentz picking up his first win for the Philadelphia Eagles. And there were also all the veterans who switched teams during the offseason getting their first regular season action in a new jersey – including Lamar Miller, who set a new career high with 28 carries.

We're already looking forward to more, but for now, let’s take this in and enjoy what we already have. Here are five stats to know -- both traditional and our advanced statistics -- from the first week of the 2016 NFL season.
