K.J. and Dedric Lawson transferring from Memphis to Kansas

Memphis Tigers sophomore forwards K.J. and Dedric Lawson will transfer to the University of Kansas after sitting out the 2017-18 season, per Gary Parrish of CBS Sports.

What It Means:

The brothers are a huge get for Bill Self and the Jayhawks as the duo were considered the biggest transfer names out on the open market. When eligible to play, in the fall of 2018, Dedric will likely assume a starting frontcourt spot for Kansas while immediately becoming one of the most talented player son the team.

Dedric averaged 19.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, while K.J. posted 12.3 points and 8.1 boards per game.
