Despite rumors, Marques Bolden will return to Duke next season
Duke Blue Devils freshman forward Marques Bolden will return to school for his sophomore season, per Brian Hamilton of Sports Illustrated.
Rumors were floated around that Bolden had intended on transferring from Duke after playing under seven minutes per game, but the big man put the speculation to bed by announcing his return to Durham for the 2017-18 season. With Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum leaving, along with Amile Jefferson graduating, there should be plenty of minutes available for Bolden next year.
Bolden played in just 24 games this season, averaging 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. In his best game, he scored eight points with four rebounds in 23 minutes against the Miami Hurricanes on January 23.
