UTEP Miners senior center Matt Willms has been granted a sixth year of eligibility and will return to school for the 2017-18 season.
Wilms was granted the extra year due to his missing most of the 2015-16 season. He played just two games that year. The seven-footer had a strong campaign this past year and will strengthen an already robust Miners frontcourt next season.
Willms averaged 11.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 2016-17.
