UCLA losing freshman T.J. Leaf to the NBA

UCLA Bruins freshman forward T.J. Leaf has declared for the 2017 NBA Draft and will hire an agent, ending his college playing career, per Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Leaf formed a tremendous freshman duo with Lonzo Ball, taking the Bruins from missing the NCAA Tournament in 2016 to a Sweet Sixteen finish in 2017. The big man is currently a top-30 NBA prospect and is projected to be selected in the late-first round by Draft Express.

Leaf averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while posting a .660 true shooting percentage and a 26.6 player efficiency rating.
