Melo Trimble leaving Maryland for the NBA

Maryland Terrapins junior guard Melo Trimble has declared himself eligible for the 2017 NBA Draft and has hired an agent, ending his college career, per Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Trimble entered the draft after his sophomore year but didn't like his standing so he returned to school. After a disappointing junior season, Trimble's stock has plunged further. He is currently projected as a late-second round pick at best. He will need a strong combine to avoid going undrafted.

Trimble averaged 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor and 31.7 percent from three.
