Indiana hires former Dayton coach Archie Miller as next head coach

The Indiana Hoosiers have hired former Dayton Flyers coach Archie Miller to be their head basketball coach, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

What It Means:

Last week the Hoosiers parted ways with Tom Crean after a disappointing run. While many speculated they would hire some with ties to the program, they scooped up one of the brightest young minds in the college game. Miller -- the brother of Arizona Wildcats coach Sean Miller -- has been the head moan for six years in Dayton, leading them to a 24-8 record and a NCAA Tournament appearance this season.

Miller went 139-63 in his six seasons at Dayton with four trips to the NCAA Tournament, including a run to the Elite Eight in 2014.
