Michael Porter Jr. commits to Missouri after leaving Washington

The nation's top high school recruit Michael Porter Jr. has committed to the Missouri Tigers after leaving the Washington Huskies, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

What It Means:

Porter had initially committed to play for the Huskies when his father was on the coaching staff. After Washington had decided to fire coach Lorenzo Romar, Porter asked to be released from his commitment. They allowed it and the National High School Player of the Year followed his dad to Missouri.

The Tigers finished the 2016-17 season 8-24 and 2-16 in the SEC.
