The Duke Blue Devils have announced freshman forward Jayson Tatum is leaving school after one season to enter the 2017 NBA Draft.
No surprise here. Tatum was a prized recruit coming out of high school and was seen as a one-and-done player all year. He started the season slow with a foot injury but ended up playing 29 games and was the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder. The freshman is a top-five prospect, according to Draft Express and is expected to be a top-10 pick in the draft.
Tatum averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game during his only season at Duke.
