Central Michigan Chippewas junior guard Marcus Keene is expected to leave school and enter the 2017 NBA Draft, according to Larry Lage of the Associated Press.
There is no word if Keene will hire an agent. If he did so, he would be ineligible to return to school. Despite becoming the first NCAA player to average 30.0 points per game in 20 seasons, Keene is not projected to be taken in either round of the NBA Draft due to concerns over his size and defensive liabilities. He'll need to perform well leading up to the draft to enter the conversation.
Keene averaged 30.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.9 three-pointers per game on 44.7 percent shooting from the field this season.
