Valparaiso's Alec Peters is done for the season

Valparaiso Crusaders senior forward Alec Peters (leg) has been ruled out for the rest of the season, according to Michael Osipoff of the Post-Tribune.

What It Means:

At first, Peters was believed just to have a stress reaction in his leg, but after getting a second opinion, it has been determined the injury is a stress fracture. The injury officially ends Peters college career and delivers a big blow to Valpo's chances of going to the big dance.

Peters was averaging 23.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for the Crusaders who will need to make a miraculous run through the Horizon League tournament to get a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament.
