Scottie Lindsey to miss another game on Wednesday for Northwestern

Northwestern Wildcats junior forward Scottie Lindsey (illness) will not play on Wednesday versus the Maryland Terrapins, according to Brian Hamilton of Sports Illustrated.

What It Means:

Lindsey will now have missed four games and over two weeks with mononucleosis. The team's leading scorer has a good shot at returning Saturday versus the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Bryant McIntosh will continue to take on a larger share of the offense with Nathan Taphorn starting in Lindsey's place versus Maryland.

The Wildcats have gone 1-2 without Lindsey and face a tough challenge in the Terps, but they remain locked in to grab an at-large spot in the big dance this year. We project the Wildcats as an eight-seed with a 72.6 percent chance of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
