Josh Newkirk drops 22 points in Indiana's loss to Wisconsin
Indiana Hoosiers junior guard Josh Newkirk scored a game-high 22 points in Sunday's loss to the Wisconsin Badgers.
Newkirk went 7-for-15 from the floor with four three-pointers as he scored 20 or more points for the second consecutive game. In the previous 22 games, the junior was averaging 7.1 points per game but has taken a larger role in the offense due to multiple injuries on the Hoosiers roster.
In his past two games, Newkirk is averaging 24.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 4.0 three-pointers per game while shooting 55.1% from the floor and 57.1% from beyond the arc.
