Cameron Johnson has a career-night as Pitt comes up short

Pittsburgh Panthers sophomore guard Cameron Johnson scored a career-high 24 points with six threes in Tuesday's 80-78 loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels.

What It Means:

Johnson heated up late as he went 4-for-5 from downtown in the second-half. He was 6-for-9 overall from 3-point land and 9-for-13 from the field. The sophomore had only two double-digit scoring performances in his last six games, so the big night was a long time coming. He is averaging 12.2 points per game this season.

Johnson is averaging 2.4 three-pointers per game while making over 40 percent of his attempts.
