Valparaiso's Alec Peters struggles with his shot versus Illinois-Chicago

Valparaiso Crusaders senior forward Alec Peters struggled with his shot Friday as he was 5-for-15 from the field including 1-for-5 from three in a win over the Illinois-Chicago Flames.

Despite the struggles, Peters managed to log 18 points as he went 7-for-8 from the free-throw line. After starting the year off hot, the big man is averaging just 16.5 points per game on 37% shooting in his last two games. The senior also added 11 boards for his fifth consecutive double-double and eighth of the year overall.

Peters is averaging 24.7 points and 10.4 boards per game, ranking him third in the country in scoring and just outside the top 20 for rebounding.
