Winthrop's Xavier Cooks posts his second double-double of the season
Winthrop Eagles junior guard Xavier Cooks posted his second double-double of the season with 27 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday's win over the Georgia Southern Eagles.

Cooks went 8-for-18 from the field and 8-for-10 from the line for a season-high 27 points. The junior rounded out his stat line with two assists, two blocks, one steal and three three-pointers. Cooks is the Eagles second-leading scorer with an average of 15.7 points per game.
Despite shooting over 50.0 percent from the field, Cooks has been struggling from the line, making only 58.3 percent of his free-throws.
