Danjel Purifoy of Auburn posts a career-high 27 points on Monday

Auburn Tigers freshman guard Danjel Purifoy scored a career-high 27 points in Monday's narrow 72-71 loss to the Boston College Eagles.

What It Means:

The Eagles had no answer for Purifoy as the freshman knocked down 8-of-14 shots including 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. The budding star also went 7-for-7 from the free-throw line with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 36 minutes. The highly talented Purifoy is now averaging 16.4 points per game to lead the Tigers.

Purifoy is shooting an impressive 45.1 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from three, and 86.0 percent from the charity stripe.
