The 6 Best Teams Left Out of the 2017 NCAA Tournament

6. Utah Utes

The Utah Utes failed to emerge victorious from their lone Pac-12 Tournament game -- they were eliminated by the California Golden Bears by a count of 78-75. And that was just 1 of 11 losses for Larry Krystkowiak's club.

Throughout the year, the Utes struggled with the tough competition out west. Their only win over a top-25 team came against a then-25th-ranked USC team. Their resumé left many opportunities on the table but, with a nERD of 10.09, the Utes are the 49th best team in the nation.

They finished the year 45th and 40th in offensive and defensive efficiency, respectively. They were certainly a solid all-around team, but they failed to make the mark needed to win over the selection committee.
