Kevin Garnett out, Adreian Payne likely to start for Minnesota
Minnesota Timberwolves center Kevin Garnett (rest) will not play against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
He will be replaced by power forward Adreian Payne in the starting lineup. This isn't a surprising call as the Timberwolves are on the second night of a back-to-back, and Garnett is the third oldest player in the league. Look for Payne and Nemanja Bjelica to fill the void, albeit with modest results.
In over 17 minutes of action against the Miami Heat on Tuesday, Payne recorded eight points and four rebounds with a steal. He's only averaging 10 minutes a game on the season, and his nERD currently ranks 63rd.
